A leading authority in the use of strategic enrollment management and data-driven decision making to advance institutional objectives, David Conway has achieved dramatic success in enhancing institutional image, increasing enrollment and maximizing student demand at three vastly different institutions. Adept at linking financial aid leveraging and marketing communications strategies, he dramatically increased enrollment, more than tripled the size of the applicant pool, enhanced diversity, increased the average SAT score by more than 150 points and achieved the lowest discount rate in Pennsylvania as Vice President for Enrollment Management at Saint Joseph’s University. During his tenure, the liberal arts school also achieved Phi Beta Kappa status and became one of the eight most selective schools in the state and one of the top ten regional universities in the Northeast in US News. Prior to heading the enrollment operation at Saint Joseph’s, Conway served as Dean of Admissions at Philadelphia University, Director of Admissions at Elizabethtown College, and Marketing Coordinator for the College of Arts and Sciences at Temple University.
Conway is the recipient of numerous professional awards for excellence in marketing communications, including the 2006 Admissions Marketing Report Gold Award for the best admissions web site in the nation for schools with enrollments between 2,500 and 5,000 students.
Conway is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate in English Literature of the University of Pennsylvania and completed his Master’s in English at Temple University.
