Engaging Math Faculty in Committing to Student Success: It’s no secret that math classes are often “killer courses” and can be a significant source of attrition. Cultivating a student-centered philosophy within the math faculty is instrumental in ensuring that students flourish—and persist—at many institutions.
Students of Color Retention & Recruitment Assessment: HBCUs, HSIs, and Tribal institutions, though very different in some ways, share many of the same student success challenges—underpreparedness, outreach and equity, resource scarcity, etc. At TFA, we recognize that any enrollment management initiative must start by taking an in-depth look at the types of factors that surround serving students of color.

Student Satisfaction Surveys: Sometimes the best place to start understanding student attitudes and behaviors is to design and administer a satisfaction survey. Surveys are a strategic, targeted way to understand students’ overall perceptions about an institution (or an identified program or offering), and a means of uncovering the important factors that determine those overall perceptions.
