4 locations, 10 Cutting-Edge Sessions

  • Become Informed–Learn Best Practices in Recruitment, Retention, & Financial Aid
  • Advocate and Advance Significant Institutional Change
  • Receive Exceptional Value at Low Cost

Every summer, TFA goes on the road to conduct workshops related to retention and recruitment. Past locations have included: Seattle, Denver, Minneapolis, Chicago, Atlanta, New Orleans, Boston, and Miami.

Having facilitated more than 200 workshops, I understand that participants need opportunities to discuss strategies related to their unique situations–not just listen to the presenter. Accordingly, our workshops reflect that philosophy and offer the following popular features:

  • Highly interactive
  • Structured networking opportunities
  • Activities to take home to campus
  • Session membership capped to insure maximum group interaction and participation
  • A la carte session selection and fee structure–you choose and pay ONLY for those sessions of interest to you.

Join me, enhance your repertoire of success strategies, network with colleagues from other campuses…and have fun!

NEW for 2008! – An expanded 5-day schedule and 7 new sessions never before offered:

In addition, we offer sessions that have traditionally been participant favorites: National Trends & Best Practices in Retention, Recruitment & Retention of Adult Learners, and Creating a Successful Retention Plan.

Cost: $100 per 3-hour session (before discounts)

This was the single, most effective workshop I have ever attended.

Jochen Krantz
Academic Dean
Herzing College—New Orleans

I found Teresa Farnum's workshops to be very practical and easy to implement. I feel confident that we will be able to achieve our objective of improving retention as a result of what I learned.

Debbie C. Norris, Ph.D.
Vice President for Planning
Assessment & Graduate Dean
Mississippi College

Teresa Farnum is an excellent workshop facilitator. I would recommend that other institutions do what we did—four of us attended the workshops, two from the Academic side and two from the Student Development side. This worked really well for us!

Dr. Andrea Croce Birch
Dean, School of Fine Arts and Humanities
Brenau University

As a new Director of Retention, I found this workshop EXTREMELY helpful in helping me to identify the strategies and processes necessary to create a Retention Plan that includes EVERYONE in the retention process. I can't wait to get started!
